D-Day Commemorations at Summer Breeze

Poole Quay Hosts the Memorial Among the Street Entertainments

Poole Quay combined the first Summer Breeze of 2009 with commemorations for the 65th anniversary of the D-Day landings. As well as the usual street entertainments associated with Summer Breeze, there was also a memorial ceremony at the Quayside. A number of D-Day veterans were at the ceremony and there were many military displays on show for the public to enjoy.
